Everytime I try to install the vista beta it hangs on the very first loading screen where it has the little moving bar just like the windows xp splash screen. The first time I downloaded the x64 version and booted from the DVD, so I went and tried the x86 version. I started it in windows and told it to install to my vista partition. Everything went fine until it rebooted and started the setup again and then it got stuck on the screen again. The little bar pauses every once and a while but for the most part keeps moving the whole time. The system is not accessing the DVD or the hard drive at all and I have tried letting it stay on the screen for about a half hour. I have heard that vista doesn't have sata drivers for nvidia systems and I have their newest chipset (570) so maybe that's the problem? Any ideas?
My system: Athlon 3200+ 64 AM2 MSI K9N Platinum AM2 w/nvidia 570 chipset. 2 gigs Mushkin enhanced ddr667 WD 250 gig harddrive split into 3 partitions, xp drive (30gig), vista drive (40gig), and misc (remaining gigs) EVGA 7900 gt ko signature series NEC DVD-drive Sound Blaster x-fi and (not sure if this matters) a microsoft multimedia usb keyboard and a razer copperhead mouse.
Thnaks for any reply.

Oh shoot i'm sorry, I guess it hangs on the second loading screen, right after it finishes loading files.

Try unplugging your Copperhead before you boot. I had the same problems with mine when i upgraded from XP. It would boot fine with the razer unplugged. Just plug it in when its at the password screen.

My install stalled at the same point for about and hour and a half. I understand that it could take several hours at that final screen. Not much you can do but wait. Hope that helps.
